The Labor Market Updates (LMU) is a publication of the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Offices (DOLE-Ros) which contains information derived from workforce profiles taken from the PESO Employment Information System “PEIS” (formerly known as Skills Registry System “SRS”), which is one of the major sub-systems of the PhilJobNet job portal of the Philippine government.
Under the National Skills Registration Program (NSRP), the PEIS endeavors to establish and maintain a “live registry” of skills at the Public Employment Service Offices (PESO) to facilitate referral and placement of jobseekers given the available job vacancies of establishments in the community . The PEIS comprises jobseekers’ demographic information such as age, gender, educational attainment, employment status, occupation, and geographical distribution.
In 2020, 12,466 jobseekers from 18 LGUs, 3 PGOS and 6 Field Offices were registered.
The highest number of registrants belonged to the 25-34 age bracket with 36% (4,490),followed by registrants from 22-24 age bracket with 34% (4,271) and from the 35-44 age bracket with 15% (1,812).
A total of 35,812 individuals registered on the PEIS, 42% or 15,150 are male and 58% or 20,662 are female
A total of 1,554 positions were encoded with 22,668 vacancies.
In the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), a total of 19,799 individuals registered on the PEIS. All 15 LGUs and 713 Barangays were covered.
A great number of registrants came from the Province of Benguet with 92% (18,146) followed by the Province of Kalinga with 3% (679).

A higher number of registrants belonged to the age group 20-24 with 47% (5,505) followed by registrants from age group 25-34 with 32% (1,127). 59% (5428) of the registrants from the stated age groups are female participants compared to the male participants accounting only to 41%.
A total of 11,782 individuals registered on the PEIS. All 75 LGUs (including pilot areas) and 1,175 Barangays were covered.
By 54% (6,389), female registrants made up more than half of the total number of registrants in the PEIS compared to the 46% (5,393) male registrants.
