Baguio City, Benguet – The Department of Labor and Employment Cordillera Administrative Region (DOLE-CAR) held a three-day Management Review and Risk Assessment cum Management Committee (ManCom) Meeting on February 20-23, 2023, at the Chalet Hotel, Baguio City, to put into perspective the 2023 National and Regional targets vis-à-vis the physical and financial accomplishments of the DOLE-CAR from 2022.
In his opening message, Regional Director Nathaniel V. Lacambra, CESO III, emphasized the prioritization of the region’s 2023 goals which can be accomplished by optimizing the employees’ efficiency, exploring digitalization, and improving the DOLE-CAR facilities. RD Lacambra likewise acknowledged the tireless effort of program focal persons and field office staff, encouraging them to continue their excellent work ethic.
During the management meeting, Planning Officer Designate Ms. Wendy M. Salada, LEO III, initially tackled about the four major organizational outcomes and their corresponding best practices, issues, and recommended actions.
Mediator-Arbiter Atty. Anthony A. Wooden, Jr., analytically discussed the Management Review and Risk Assessment Agenda, and the Changes in External and Internal Issues Relevant to the DOLE-CAR Quality Management System (QMS).
Following the QMS discussion is Ms. Gieniel Andrea L. Castillo, Administrative Officer V/Human Resource Management Officer who presented on the Performance and Effectiveness of the DOLE-CAR QMS; Customer Satisfaction and Feedback.
A talk on Audit Results and corresponding Corrective Actions/ Opportunities for Improvement was then given by the Budget Officer, Ms. Gracelyn Barton, AOV.
Additionally, the meeting had a series of interactive sessions on Management Review Outputs on the Opportunities for Improvement, the need for changes to the DOLE-CAR QMS, including Resource Needs, and the Updating of the DOLE-CAR Context and Strategic Risk Assessment conducted by Atty. Anthony Wooden, Jr.
OIC-ARD Emerito A. Narag, Ph.D., synthesized the ways forward and gave the closing remarks, concluding the three-day ManCom meeting.
As the DOLE-CAR management committee sets its strategic roadmap towards improved delivery of its services, the department looks at a more streamlined and strategized delivery of its programs, projects, and activities.
