





Baguio City – The Department of Labor and Employment – Cordillera Administrative Region (DOLE-CAR) received the “Bituen ti Amianan Award” from the Cordillera Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (Cordillera RDRRMC) and the Office of the Civil Defense-Cordillera Administrative Region (OCD-CAR) last July 8, 2022 at the New Town Plaza Hotel, Baguio City.
“Polaris” or the northern star, from days old served, as a navigational guide for travelers and seafarers; and to date – a glimmering reminder of steadfastness and honor
The award highlights the sustained commitment and support of leaders, agencies, stakeholders, and organizations in strengthening the resilience and adaptive capacities of communities amidst overlapping crises.
This year’s theme of “Sambayanang Pilipino, Nagkakaisa Tungo sa Katatagan at Maunlad na Kinabukasan” puts into limelight the importance of collaboration of all Filipinos to overcome environmental hazards and ongoing challenges of the pandemic.
The awarding activity/Kick-off Program entitled “Panangpadayaw iti Bituen ti Amianan” endeavors to promote volunteerism in the pursuit of excellence in disaster risk reduction and management towards resiliency.
