More than 600 job vacancies await applicants in the upcoming 124th Kalayaan Day Job Fair to be held on June 12, 2022 at the Bishop Carlito Cenzon Sports Center of Saint Louis University, Baguio City.

Local employment opportunities include those in the fields of construction, administrative and clerical tasks, business process outsourcing, educational/academic, hospitality and tourism, health, and even blue-collar work opportunities.

More than 20 local employers will take part in the event, including a construction corporation, multiple academic institutions, hotel and tourism establishments, PEZA-located establishments, real estate corporations, and health facilities, among others.

Overseas employment opportunities are currently being compiled to be publicized as soon as available.

Pre-registration of applicants will be open to the public from June 05 to 11. Applicants may visit the Malcolm Square on June 05 (Saturday) and 11 (Sunday), and the DOLE-Baguio Benguet Field Office (DOLE-BBFO) and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) from June 06-10 (Monday to Friday).

Other activities lined-up for the event include a One-Stop Shop to avail of government services or assistance. Participating agencies include the POEA, OWWA, DTI, SSS, PRC, RTWPB, ECC, NBI, PAG-IBIG, PESO, and DOLE to name a few.

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will provide a health and wellness area, catering to applicants and registrants.

Regional Director Nathaniel Lacambra CESO III hopes that with these recent developments in the labor sector, more individuals can acquire gainful employment in the country.

This year’s theme is anchored on the 124th anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, “Kalayaan 2022: Pagsuong sa Hamon ng Panibagong Bukas”.

It also marks the resumption of the face-to-face conduct of the jobs fair, as it was done through an online platform last 2021.
