More than 800 job vacancies await eager applicants for the Face-to-Face Job Fair TNK (Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan), Bayanihan Bakunahan and One-Stop Shop at the Skyzone Porta Vaga Mall on December 8, 2021 in celebration of the Labor Department’s 88th founding anniversary.

In his statement, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III invited displaced workers and jobseekers to take advantage of the available local and overseas jobs in the ‘hybrid’ job fairs joined by more than 200 participating employers nationwide.

For the region, there are 337 employment opportunities including customer service representatives, security guards, sales agents, mechanics, and various administrative or office staff. Specialized occupations for local employment such as chemists, engineers, nurses, and analysts are also up for grabs to qualified applicants.

Participating local employers include Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company, HEDCOR, C&AAA, Eaglematrix, IQOR, Sitel, and even the Local Government of Baguio.

More than 400 jobs are available for overseas employment such as bakers, car mechanics, construction and carpentry works, agricultural workers, health and safety practitioners including nurses, and related service industries, in Japan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

Other services to be offered during the December 8 Job Fair includes a one-stop shop where clients may inquire of services offered by participating government agencies such as the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), Employees Compensation Commission (ECC), Technical Education And Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA), and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB).

Regional Director Nathaniel Lacambra, CESO III urged job-hopefuls including first-time applicants to join the Face-to-Face Job Fair, and likewise encouraged attendees to be vaccinated through the mini-vaccination drive. He noted that the Department continues to advocate its Vision of every Filipino worker attaining full, decent, and productive employment.

Pre-registration is ongoing at the DOLE Baguio-Benguet Field Office until December 7, while onsite applicants may register on December 8 at the Porta Vaga Mall.
